Private Paradise represents 10 years of imagineering with customers on how groups of couples, children and families would like to live, laugh and have fun together. Then the developer threw expense caution to the wind, hired theme park designers, and installed the best computer and entertainment systems in places where adults congregate. Equal thought went into creating themed playhouses, a game room with video gaming theater for children, dream spaces for couples to have personal time and expansive rooms for all to gather for meals, sporting events and making memories together.

How can Private Paradise’s design and All Island Exclusive program actually help groups get along?
Our focus groups identified that it can sometimes be difficult for groups to get along, so we outlined the most common conflicts and engineered solutions to help keep them from happening. Here are a few design examples.
- KEEPING PEACE – We designed in multiple buildings, pools, stocked bars, cabanas with Bali-day beds and five ocean-view suites so that everyone sharing the rental expense can enjoy similar posh treatment and spread out! We also realized that teenagers have so much fun in the gaming theater that they sometimes forget to give youngsters equal time to play. This is why we built a shallow splash pool, outdoor playhouse and Camp Coz – an enchanting two-level playhouse so toddlers have a place of their own to watch Cartoons and it’s just their size!
- With our All Island Exclusive program, your concierge advances payments and tips for most things and divides the expenses up onto guest’s check-out bills so there is no friction over who pays and what to tip. Also the resort manager is the go-to person for requests, NOT the group organizer so everyone can relax and enjoy their vacation.
- FOSTERING LAUGHTER –Every group has comical personalities in it so the design team incorporated a unique stage with props and hi-tech electronics into the great room so these performers could really get the party and laughter going.
Giant Theater Screen descends over the ocean-view glass at night
The great room is a fantastic open floor plan, comprised of the expansive living room, kitchen and dining room with seating for 24 and floor to ceiling glass on the ocean view side. The room is equipped with 7 channel DTS surround sound, a large High Definition Smart Home TV built into the kitchen cabinets and a 16’ theater screen that magically appears at night. Imagine entire families of all ages in this wonderful gathering place with everyone enjoying the perfect vantage point to watch their favorite football team or watch a home video that they shot that day.
After dinner guests play YouTube music videos larger on the big screen and kitchen monitor while guests delight their friends acting out backstage the artist’s dance moves in the hilarious shadow theater.
Shadow Theater
Here is how it works. Guests search their favorite music video on YouTube– let’s say Michael Jackson Thriller – and it play it for everyone to hear in hi-fidelity surround sound and view larger than life on the living room theater. Meanwhile this same music video plays back stage in the shadow theater so the guest dancers can follow the artist moves while also getting to view – through a closed-circuit TV – their gyrating silhouette that everyone else is seeing LIVE on the other side of the scrim in the great room.
Hats, microphones, puppets for kids and other props are back stage to choose from so it doesn’t take long before the whole Great Room erupts in spontaneous laughter and everyone starts hollering “we want to play …this or that song and …go next”!
Gather Around Tappan-Yaki/Hibachi Kitchen Island Dining Experience
The Kitchen and Great Room are also home of the Japanese Hibachi restaurant style island griddle, where guests gather-around and enjoy our masterful chefs cooking gourmet meals right in front of them. Adults naturally congregate around kitchen islands so the cooking shows, surround sound and hilarious shadow theater only supercharge the fun!
Fun for Adults and Couples
Private Paradise thoughtfully includes multiple personal havens specifically designed for couples to retreat to when they need their own quiet space like our dreamy Bali-Day Beds with waiter service, smart TVS, fans and charging ports. Other great places to slip away are the seaside spa for a couple’s massage, roof top sports lounge, ocean-front deck with over-water couples hammocks, three heated pools, two hot tubs and lanais off of every bedroom.
1 & 2 Bedroom Master Suites (Sleeps Up to 24)
We realize that several family members often share the rental cost so this seaside palace boasts multiple luxurious master suites, including a two-bedroom family suite that can be connected via a common bath and the Camp Coz family castle which has a built in two level Disney themed kids fort with bunk beds, fireman’s pole and party kitchen play area.
Each suite has unique elements such as fold down murphy beds and ocean-front indoor/outdoor bathrooms, offering a sumptuous variety and something for everyone’s desires.
Since Cozumel enjoys an average year-round evening temperature in the 70’s many buildings are open-air so we designed Private Paradise with a wonderful variety of indoor and balmy outdoor spaces. Most master baths face the blue Caribbean affording jaw dropping views while guests shower, brush their teeth or even sit on the loo!
All Bedrooms are adorned with a visual feast of Tommy Bahama themed moldings, shutters and furniture, polished marble and lighted etched glass art. Other en suite features include Private Paradise robes, Moulton Brown bath products, safes, coffee-makers and complimentary minibar refrigerators with an assortment of beverages, candy and snacks.
Au Naturale Penthouse Suite
At the far end of the spectrum for a truly unique tropical experience, is the penthouse suite with glass that can be totally opened on the view wall. It also has a sumptuous couples tub to be enjoyed as part of the air-conditioned bedroom space or outdoors with the glass opened to the private rooftop nude sunbathing area with ocean view.
Essentially, the bathrooms were designed to put nothing between guests and the gorgeous Caribbean except the half-walls and windows that are needed to keep private parts private!
Daily Maid & Night Turn-Down Service
When most villas don’t even provide, daily maid service, privileged Private Paradise guests benefit from it twice per day, including a freshen up and turn down service each evening.
250 Feet Waterslide
The Penthouse Plummet & Swim-up bar express is a 250 feet long waterslide – with Rock & Roll sound and light-show – that travels THROUGH THE HOUSE!
Riders board the slide on the roof of the Sunrise tower building, over-looking the Caribbean, at the Top-Of-The-World Sports Lounge and drop more than 40 feet! Several twists and turns later they fly through the Sunset building game room and finally over everyone’s head at the Flyin-Mayan swim-up bar in a lighted see- through tube. The ride ends with a thrilling splash down fall into the infinity-edge pool. Up to four hours of slide operation is included daily. Our engineer turns it on anytime between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM upon request to your butler or bartender and we shut it off when it’s not being used until the next request is received. Additional hours are available upon request at extra cost based on staff availability.

Bali-Day Beds
These amazing little pleasure huts over the water and down by the Caribbean are designed after the Four Seasons Resort in Bora Bora and are by far, designer John Giovanni’s favorite features to enjoy in the whole property!
Each one features Jaw-dropping views, smart TVs where you can play content from your phone. They also have ceiling fans and outlets for charging so they are great places to work and our top-notch staff will deliver food and beverages while you simply relax and have it made in the shade!
25 Feet Tall Waterfalls in Grand Entrance Hall
The pièce de résistance of the Private Paradise grand entrance are four 25’ tall lighted harmonic waterfalls that descend rhythmically and magically from the towering 30 feet ceiling above. These works of art can be lighted in any color for any event – green and white tonight for your team’s colors? No problem.
CLUB 33 – Open Air Lobby Bar
Named after Walt Disney’s personal private bar hidden in the original Disneyland and closed to all but celebrities, Private Paradise CLUB 33 serves up the same exclusive experience in a swanky tropical setting. Designer John Giovanni explains, “We have stayed in some of the nicest villa’s in the world that also have bars but it’s simply not an elegant experience without a fully stocked bar, tall delicate glassware and top-
notch bartender to make you the finest craft cocktails. That’s why we hired an outside catering company to deliver all those things surrounding the dining hours when guests will be dining at the villa.
Club 33 boasts a 70-inch television and is yet another great place to watch a sporting event with Dolby DTS surround sound.
Speakers Everywhere– Even in bedrooms and showers
Inside you will find unrivaled electronic features including 55-inch flat screens, surround sound stereos with Bluetooth hook-ups, and built-in Yamaha speakers in most bedrooms’ baths and showers.
Fun for children
Our inside and outside kid’s camps, 250 water-slide with light show and rock and roll music, life-size chess set, commercial size theater under-the-stars, splash pool, corn hole, pool table, shuffle board and HD gaming theater are so incredibly appealing for children of all ages that they are all but guaranteed to say, “Thanks Daddy, this is the best vacation ever”! Game Room
Boasting billiards and shuffle board tables, the Private Paradise game room delivers entertainment for all ages but it’s the state-of-the-art HD GAMING THEATER that draws the children and doesn’t let go! Imagine reclining in a leather home theater seat and playing the latest PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch video games on a huge 12’ screen and in thunderous Dolby DTS Surround sound! This room is nearby the Great Room and Shadow theater so while the parents are laughing and having fun the children are also having the time of their lives nearby.
Theater Under the Stars
When the sun goes down the fun is just getting started at the Private Paradise outdoor theater. There is room for everyone to recline back in chaise lounges, or sit in beach chairs with feet in the water or even float in the big pool and watch the giant 18 feet screen from the infinity edge.
Shallow Splash Pool
Our heated shallow pool under the outdoor movie screen is ideal for toddlers to splash in or couples to sit their lounge or beach chairs in and get a killer tan while staying cool.
Floor Plans with Bedroom Layouts
Private Paradise is a multi-structure complex with each building having fabulous ocean views. The entrance building is called the “Sunrise Tower”. The giant Penthouse Plummet waterslide ride leaves from the roof of this tower and travels THROUGH the Sunset building. The Sunrise Tower is closest to the gated private entrance drive and the rising sun in the morning.
The building on the sunset side is called the “Sunset Building “and is accessed by a covered walkway.
